Max Evans

Type: alien
Aura: emerald green
Scent: cedar
Physical Appearance: A tall blonde teen with blue eyes. He's very attractive but in a quiet and reserved way.

Personality

Max Evans is the quiet guy. He's cautious and reserved but also feels a great deal of responsibility for his friends and family. Nickamed "Mr. Responsibility" by Liz, Max often tries to take on too much at once. He is looked to for advice by his friends and has the ability to break up arguments and disagreements by finding a middle ground. With a sweet and caring personality, Max takes the time to help anyone--including lab mice.

Background

After an alien ship crashed in Roswell in 1947, the adult survivors of the crash managed to hide a set of incubation pods in the caves of the Roswell desert. Many years later, a small humanoid child broke free from the pods and began wandering around the desert. Found by Mr. and Mrs. Evans, two lawyers, the child was adopted and named Max Evans.

Knowing that he and his sister, Isabel, were different, Max grew up in hiding. He went to school, he got good grades, he loved his adopted parents, but he never told anyone the truth about his alien origins. Afraid to use his powers in public, Max tried to stay in the background--hanging out only with his sister and their alien friend Michael Guerin.

Story

While eating with his best friend Michael Guerin at the local Crashdown Cafe, Max sees the love of his life (though she doesn't know it) shot by accident. Without thinking, he runs to Liz Ortecho's side and uses his alien powers to heal her. After that, everything changes. Liz and her best friends Maria DeLuca and Alex Manes soon learn the truth about the three resident aliens living in Roswell. The six teens must ban together to stop Sheriff Valenti from discovering Max's secret and to battle an evil alien named DuPris.

With his secret revealed to Liz, he is amazed to discover that she loves him too. They begin dating but their relationship is strained after Max joins the collective consciousness. Slowly taken prisoner by some of the beings on his home planet, Max is completely taken over. The only way to save him is to destroy the collective consciousness--and even then it's a risky option. With no other choice, the teens shatter the consciousness and, through their close bond of love, Liz is able to bring Max back to her safely.
